Vanillekipferl
Ingredients

- Butter210g
- Almondsground100g
- Icing SugarPlus extra for dusting70g
- Vanilla sugarPlus extra for dusting1packet
Step 1
Knead all the ingredients together to form a firm dough. Let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
Step 2
Shape the dough into thin rolls (about 2cm in diameter). Cut uniform pieces (~1cm) from the roll using a knife. To form the Vanillekipferl, roll between both hands to create crescent shapes and place them directly on the baking sheet. The exact size of the pieces can vary, but all Vanillekipferl on one baking sheet should be equally thick for even baking.
Step 3
Bake the Vanillekipferl at 150°C (fan-assisted) for about 15 minutes or until the tips turn slightly golden. After baking, allow them to cool briefly so they can be handled. Then, coat the still-warm Vanillekipferl in a mixture of icing sugar (combined with vanilla sugar or a little vanilla powder) until they are well coated with sugar. Caution should be taken during this process as the Vanillekipferl can break easily.
